• Make sure you use turn signals and check blind spots when passing. Check the situation in front and behind your vehicle as well. You must be able to pass without getting too near to the car in front or going over the speed limit.
• Give at least three seconds of distance between your car and the one in front of you. Meanwhile, if someone is tailgating you, it is best not to speed up. Instead, maintain your speed and move over to let them pass when it is already safe to do so.
• If there are cyclists or pedestrians down the road, slow down and stay behind them until it?s safe to pass.
• Watch out for animals or other obstacles ahead of time. This will allow you to brake or steer safely around them instead of swerving to another lane.
